VIVID returns to Ladysmith Gallery this autumn, bringing together seven artists and seven distinct creative practices in a celebration of imagination, craftsmanship, colour and form.
From painting and pottery to glass, jewellery and woodturning, VIVID: The Power of Imagination invites visitors to experience the wonderfully different ways an idea can take shape in an artist’s hands. Each artist brings their own materials, perspective and visual language to the exhibition, creating a collection that is as varied as the people who made it.
This year’s exhibition features Katherine Moore, glass artist; Claudia Lohmann, painter; Karin Schieber, gold and silversmith; Danielle Dickson, painter; Janet McDonald, painter and potter; Diane Brinton, glass artist; and Steen Hjort, woodturner.
Whether you are drawn to colour and surface, sculptural form, beautifully crafted objects, or simply the pleasure of discovering something unexpected, VIVID offers an opportunity to slow down, look closely, and see where imagination can lead.
